4 Reasons Why I Stopped Using Linktree on Instagram

👉 Instagram Tip: Give sites like Linktr.ee the flick and build your own mobile landing page for your list of external links your audience can access from your Instagram Bio link.

It’d be nice to have 10,000 followers on IG to be able to have the ’Swipe☝️Up’ feature enabled, but we’ll all get there one day. Which is where multi-link apps have come in. They enable us ‘less-followed’, to funnel out our followers to our various products, blog posts or shared content from the one link in our bio.

However, if you have your own website you’re in luck because you can create a landing page on your site!

If optimised for mobile, you’ll be able to create your own clickable buttons that link to your desired content. The beauty of it, is that its benefits far outweigh the simplicity of using a service like Linktr.ee

Firstly, Here's What You Can to Do Instead: Create a landing page on your existing site.
What you want to do is build a new page on your site that is mobile optimised. Here you create a series of vertical buttons that link to your desired website pages or external site links. You can then also brand it with your colours and fonts as well as include any logos or imagery, etc.
1. SEO Creating a landing page on your website will help boost your website's SEO ranking. Your followers will now directly visit your website first, rather than from another source that recieves that SEO boost.

1️⃣ — It helps boost your website’s SEO ranking as a follower is directly visiting your website first.

Btw, here an awesome SEO services:

Serpstat — is an all-in-one SEO platform for SEO, PPC & content marketing.

SEMrush — is a web application that allows you to analyze massive amounts of SEO data related to your site and your competitors.

2. Custom You can stay on brand with your own design on the mobile landing page. Meaning you're not constrained by a free or paid service that doesn't let you customise your own colours, fonts, buttons and imagery. Make it own!

2️⃣ — You can stay on-brand with your own design on the mobile landing page. Meaning you’re not constrained by a free or paid service that doesn’t let you customise your own colours, fonts, buttons and imagery.⠀

Try Webflow – all-in-one web design tool that allows users to design, build, and launch responsive websites visually.

3. Trust You can use your own web address which also keeps you on brand and is also more trustworthy for a follower to visit. For example: gdayfrank.com/instagram
rather than
linktr.ee/gdayfrank

3️⃣ — You can use your own web address which also keeps you on brand and is also more trustworthy for a follower to visit — eg. gdayfrank.com/instagram rather than linktr.ee/gdayfrank

4. Analytics You have greater access to track any visits to your landing page from Instagram by using Google Analytics if applied to your website. It can also be beneficial if you've applied a facebook Pixel to your site for better targeting your audience.

4️⃣ — You have greater access to track any visits to your landing page from IG by using Google Analytics if applied to your website. Which I might add if you don’t have Google Analytics on your site already…now might be the time.⠀

Not sure what I mean? Click the link in my bio for an example — It’s what I recently implemented after personally having a shit of a time trying to use Linktr.ee

Also a BIG thank you to @norfolkdesignco for first bringing this to my attention 😁🙏
