The web is incredible
If there’s something that you can’t learn to do online, I’m not sure what it is.
In my immediate family alone, we pay for piano lessons (x2), for karate classes (x3), for parkour classes, and personal training (aka private gym class). Dance and gymnastics are on the horizon.
We could learn every single one of these things online for free.
So why pay?
Here are a few reasons of the top of my head:
- Individualized attention
- Constructive criticism
- Objective progress metrics
- Access to a trusted expert
The last one is the big one.
So here’s the thing
Whatever your area of expertise, I’m willing to bet that there is a ton of great information on it available online for free. Don’t let this trip you up. Don’t undercut yourself by thinking:
“Why would anyone pay me for this? The information is all available online for free!”

They don’t want to figure it out on their own for free online. They want to write a check and be done with it.
